Emergency help two week old chick with bulging crop

But she is so much smaller than the other silkies. She is about half their size she doesn’t seem to have grown at all since we got her

Could be that the others are abnormally large. She looks like an average sized two week old Silkie chick. Honestly, as long as she's eating, drinking, and pooping normally, there is nothing to be concerned about. Chicks can grow at different rates, even if they have the exact same parents.

junebuggena is correct, I believe. I don't raise silkies but I have a Black Copper Marans chick that is 7 weeks old and her hatchmates are 3 times the size, not kidding!! I wouldn't stress too much over this chick. She may end up being smaller than the others but she looks just fine to me. The chicks crop is the size that she 'thinks' she is. It is going to look big and puffy but if she is pooping normally, there is nothing to worry about. Sorry about your sinus infection. Go lie down and don't worry about her any more, she'll be fine.

Update: her crop is swollen again photos attached it’s the size of a half a grape. She’s pooped four times since I removed her food and the crop is still big

Yup, that's a nice looking little poo you have there . Perfectly normal IMHO. Again, the fact that she is pooping is really the telling factor in her being OK. Feel better!

Do you have your chick on some kind of vitamin supplement in the water? If not, try some, and make sure your little one is getting her fair share of water.

I had them on poly vi sol and a little ACV but I stopped it about a week ago

Perhaps she’s just younger or smaller... but if she’s pooping you’re ok.... keep an eye on what comes out. It sounds like she was just really full. Lots of water available keeps it softer. I know with parrots I’d say add some papaya once or twice... but I’m a chicken newbie...
