I don't think so. Not unless it's still bleeding. Painting the membrane with coconut oil will help it from drying out. It looks like your chick has shrink wrapped. How long has he been in the shell and is he still trying to get out or is he just sitting there?

Im really new to this, and it is the first time a chick actually ended up starting to hatch and because today is the 23rd day of that egg i thought i should help him out. It was a very bad idea of mine. He did the internal pip by himself but i decide to do the external pip for him because i was worried he might not make it in time. But well that disnt work out and he is still teying to get out but nothing is hapning
