Emergency incubating/hatching ideas needed!

Hmmmm I know that if you suspect you have a broody hen you should put her on her own first with some normal eggs, and if she stays broody replace the eggs with good ones. This is because moving her could stop her broodyness. I would suggest waiting until the chick hatches and then if you can get one, put them both in a rabbit hutch or something, but in a place where the other chickens can still see them and get used to them - hopefully that way when the time comes to reintroduce them all it will be pretty easy. We are doing the same with our silky and her chick at the moment. Hopefully in a few weeks when the chick is fully feathered we can introduce them all properly without incident. The chick is FAST anyway so even if the main flock try to get her they'll have their work cut out - so will I when its time to get her back in lol.
