I really like the fact that once you get walls built on it that they will be sloped. For me that would give stability in the high winds we get around here. And I was serious about screening in the top for a "Chicken Lookout"

Pretty sure there is something in the air to give us all this chicken addictive behavior! LOL - I am in the same trouble - I have 60 birds coming in April, all set for brooding but all needing housing! I am not unprepared, have some plans in the works as well. I just know I function best under pressure

. We have a chainlink dog kennel as our coop and run right now as well. I will be opening it up so I can back it against the back wall of our garage, thereby making it a 10 x 20 space ontead of the current 10x10. 15 of the spring birdies are turkeys, they will move in there for awhile. I also plan to pick up 4 more cattle panels for the 30 meaties, a nice safe moveable hoop house for them. I have still several feet of snow on the ground but have the lumber laid out in the garage for the addition to the new layers coop (5x7 built last fall, adding on a 6x10 shed before chickens have ever even moved in!!!) Who said you put a car in the garage? Right now Mama Banty and her five New Years babies are whooping it up in the garage too... So I am with you - lovin your tower - so awesome and feelin your ambition!
