Thank you everyone for your help and kind words. It’s been a sad day. I live on the ocean in Puerto Rico so I buried her on the beach in front of my house with a few other ducks we’ve lost over the years. I like to think I gave her the best little life I could in the few short years while she was here with us. I also take comfort she died with me and wasn’t attacked or killed in any other violent manner. She went the best way possible. Thanks again everyone.

Very sorry for your loss. I am sure she took great comfort that she had a companion at the end. I always fear one of my little ones dying without me or a duck friend nearby. A fitting tribute to a beautiful girl.

I had a chicken and she died in the same way it was horrible!! I am so sorry for your loss...
maybe you need some med. we use some on our ducks.
