Emergency: Sick Duck (may have something stuck in throat)

Ours are pets too... we're the weirdos who take their ducks to the vet lol. The last time one of our ducks was sick with pneumonia we did use a vaporizer with Oxine AH (also from Majestic Waterfowl info) and it did help get her breathing better. We did it for 30 minutes twice a day in conjunction with oral antibiotics. It did help and after 30 days on antibiotics she's finally well again.

This last pneumonia go around we
had her on Doxycycline 25mg twice a day. The vet gave us 100mg pills to split into quarters

Still the same. Baytril came in but haven’t used yet because I want to try oxine first (I read that antibiotics can make aspergillosis worse and since I’m wondering if that’s what she has it worries me to start there). Oxine just came in this afternoon (first package was apparently “undeliverable” and was never delivered so I had to reorder). Uuugh. She’s not any worse or any better. Eating ok. Drinking ok. Still open mouth breathing and squeaking/sneezing. No interest in being out of the cage really or in swimming in a shallow shed of water. Hoping after a few days of humidifier treatments with oxine I’ll see some improvements. I’d like to get her to the point that she can go back out with her family and only come in for her treatments. I appreciate you checking in!

After several weeks of 2-3 treatments a day with the ovine, I’ve is much better. She just moved back out with her family today. Thank you for all the help!!!
