Now that he's standing, what I do is put newspapers down and lay a paper towel on top of the newspaper, because he will ruin that towel, maybe not right now because he's little but once discover what we can do with Water. WATCH OUT.. MESSY MESSY MESSY.... Of course, if you don't need or want the towel any more, let him go at it.. LOL..

If by chance you do the newspaper and paper towel and notice that he's slipping quite a lot, then get yourself some shelf liner, it's not expensive and it's GREAT for those little legs. Its like having a wire bottom only soft....
