carbon monoxide is good way BUT use/get a long aluminum flex pipe so the gas is not hot when it gets to the bird. and a large cardboard box like a tube tv box or even a stove box and put his favorite treat in there in copous amout so he is 'happy' then sleepy .. sleeping .. then well you know
