Emergency - Pekin duck not getting better

Is the leg fused like that? if slipped tendon the leg won't stretch out straight. Only surgery would help it maybe even too late for that if it's been this way since she was a month old. It maybe be slipped but never heard of one snapping. Let me see if I can find some info. Yes ducks were at one time bred mostly for meat and eggs but many many members on here have ducks and other poultry for pets. You make them what you want them to be. Pekins can be both and live long healthy lives. But they do tend to have leg issue since they grow so fast. As what is best for your ducks is something you have to decide. They can usually tell us with out talking when they are ready to give up.

I tried to find something on snapped tendon but it was humans not water fowl not saying it couldn’t happen. I just know slipped tendon can be pretty common in poultry.
I seriously doubt that it's a snapped tendon. Slipped maybe, but very unlikely snapped.

@maddybear53, can you take a video of her trying to walk, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo then copy and paste the link here? It would also be helpful to see more pictures.

My pet pekin used to get bumbles all the time, and I bought her boots to help give her a soft surface to stand on. It really helped. This might help for the good foot. I got them here.

I don't really know anything about the bad leg. Except... If it is painful, what about long term pain relievers? When my duck broke her leg she was on 2 different kinds for 2 months.

I've taken 2 of my pet ducks to the vet for euthanasia. They were in pain and I had done every possible medical intervention. They had stopped eating, were standing in the corner staring at the wall, and not engaging with me or the other ducks. It was obvious to me that they were ready. I think you will know when your duck is in too much pain and is ready.

My boyfriend had sent me a link for a boot earlier today. I was also able to find a bumblefoot treatment on the site that I started today.
She doesn't react like she's in any pain. I had in the bath today and was able to bend her leg all around and she was completely fine. She eats and drinks, she is still playful with us and my other duck. I'm just worried its too much for her. All her feathers seem like they're breaking as well

I may have got the terminology wrong. That leg seems healthy for the most part, it's just stuck at a weird angle and is somewhat twisted. I'll have to post more pictures tomorrow after work
