She has unfortunately passed away. We think it from a heart attack of some sort. Thank you all for the responses and help

I am very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, when they get sores like the one she had they can get infected very easily. I am not a vet, but I would guess that her cause of death was due to sepsis, an infection she acquired through the wound on her leg.

So sorry to hear that you might need a friend for the mallard. And give him extra attention. My ducks seem very attached to each and when I lost Crystal the other two were noticeably upset especially the drake, Floyd. Fortunately he and Abigale had each other.
