EMERGENCY PLEASE HELP ASAP

Please please please help. My chicken Beaky has been laying soft shelled eggs for a long time now. We would give her calcium for a week and then stop, but the soft shelled eggs never stopped. On Sunday we noticed that beaky had layed just the inside of the egg and not the shell. We gave her a epsom salt bath, calcium again and half a baby aspirin because she was showing signs of pain. We fed her and gave her some meal worms and after a hour she was out with her friends and having a normal chicken life. This morning, we brought beaky inside and gave her another epsom salt bath because again, she layed just the inside of the egg... Gave her calcium, half a aspirin but this time, it didn't take a hour for her to get better, she just kept getting worse it seemed like. We brought her inside again, fed her some worms and decided on giving her another Epsom salt bath because we were hoping that maybe it would get the final residual out.

Please please please, if you have anything and ideas please let me know! I love this bird so much and I really don't want her to suffer and I want her to survive. Thank you so much!

Poor girl, but that is a great setup for isolation and observation. Hopefully an educator can help you out more.

When you say "getting worse", what is she doing or how is she behaving? I'm trying to think up questions that'll help an Educator with suggestions when they get to your thread.

Thank you, I appreciate it. When I say, "getting worse" I mean that she seems more sleepy then this morning, more lethargic and quieter. We were giving her water via syringe and she didn't feel as strong as she did this morning. You might be able to see how her comb is flopping, I assume that's because she is under the weather and dehydrated. I massaged her crop to help get fluids and food moving through.

When you say you gave her calcium, what type or amount was it? It may have not been enough.

I'd give her 300 mg of Calcium Citrate +D, one per day for several days up to a week.

What does she get for feed? Perhaps to try be sure she's got all of her other nutrients, put some Poultry Cell or Nutri-Drench vitamins in her water every other day.

There could be something else going on with her reproductive tract as well, but try this to see if that helps.

Has she ever been wormed?

Hi, thank you for replying. The calicum is 600 mg with vitamin D3. Im assuming she does have some thing wrong in her reproductive tract since this has been going on for a while now. Plus she is a black sex link so its expected unfortunately.

Yes we recently wormed the whole flock when we saw worms in her poop. Unfortunately that didnt help at all.

This calcium treatment should be working so I'm thinking she's just not absorbing the calcium well enough. Your calcium for sure has D3 in it? I'd get her on vitamins in her water, like Poultry Cell, every other day.

Yes it says it has D3 in it. She also has vitamins in her water and electrolytes. I see her pushing but nothing comes out.
