Now thinking about it, she just yawned in my face and her breath smelled weird. I wasn't expecting it to smell minty but it smelled different then how it usually smells I guess. Maybe she has sour crop?

You could try probiotics but doubting that's going to help her egg issue. Now thinking about it, she just yawned in my face and her breath smelled weird. I wasn't expecting it to smell minty but it smelled different then how it usually smells I guess. Maybe she has sour crop?
Thank you so much, im going to try it asap.I am sorry about your little hen Beaky.
She is perching so it does help drop out whatever residual left inside.. gravity doing the work.
I had a hen like that and what I did was gently held her vertically between my lower legs while gently massage her tummy, the membrane/york did came out. It works sometimes, but not every time. She did went on living for another year....and was euthanized not for reproductive issue. She was an Isa Brown.
Like Debbies292d advised..calcium D+.
I wish all will be well with your hen Beaky.![]()
Calcium Citrate with D3 should be taking care of this and it's trying as you say she's pushing. Can you get her into a warm Epsom salt bath again? Between the two of those, she should expel it.Yes it says it has D3 in it. She also has vitamins in her water and electrolytes. I see her pushing but nothing comes out.

Here are two crop articles if you'd want to read up on those. Crop issues usually come from something else, so it fits she could be coming up with that now.

I am squeamish to suggest antibiotics to them but maybe that's the best idea.I have a similar problem with one of my ducks right now and this morning I started her on Baytril antibiotic because at this point, I suspect an oviduct infection
