Yeah, the potato didnt want to potato. I crept around veins and pulled her beak after her wing, like the last two. Thank you Urban! No, Marco is second to last. I still have Noodles sitting in the shell.. No pips. No peeps.. But movement.
Look at that, is this #4? such an awesome job of birthing. Congrats!!
Oh okay I thought someone had mentioned # 4 was hatching so how many left Doc?Nope number three
I tell ya Lacrystol goes the extra mile that's for sure. she has helped so many. She deserves a medal and the ones she is helping deserve a medal for listening and not jumping ahead and messing up. which has to be extremely hard when watching a lil one struggle.Have we heard about Noodles? How is Marco doing ( I saw s/he was born)? I fell asleep hours ago, but dreamt about them all night long. I thought I loved my chickens, all 13 of them (we lost one, much heartache over that)... but until I watched this thread, I realized we need to experience the birth of a clutch. The level attachment is indescribable! I told my hubs I was watching and waiting for the babies.. He chuckled and said, "Who knew you were gonna be such a farm girl". 18 months ago I seemingly traded my Vuittons, Birchs, and Channels for a pair of pink camo galoshes and happily go wandering outside with my girls(and just found out that one is more than likely a roo after all)
I have been nothing short of riveted throughout this entire process/discussion. I pray that all is well with your babies and I also hope that the birth of these little ones go down in the annals of BYC, so EVERYONE can see the love and dedication we have for our feathered children. In fact, I'd like to see a farm magazine pick up this story with all the documentation, it's been such an amazing journey!
