Emergency!! Positioned wrong/Assisted hatching! Please help!

So it turns out that there was something wrong with Lucy. She passed away last night. We are going to bury her right next to Noodles. Our tree will be the prettiest tree to bloom this year..
Genghis and Kublai are doing just fine. They stay very close to me when I'm watching them, but with their daddy, its a free-for-all. They don't listen to him much. I'm starting to realize that dad is fun and mom is love. All love..
We still have our hands full with the two brothers and every morning Ryan brings them to me to cuddle with me in bed. Ducklings are better than coffee.

Aww, Lucy =[ I'm so sorry for your loss. I've followed this thread from the beginning, and I was really pulling for her. You two were amazing (along with Lacrystol) and did everything you could for her. She couldn't have had two more loving parents for her short time. I'm glad your other little ones are doing well. Spoil them good!

Thank you all for the sympathy. After all the work we put into saving her it was very sad, but at least she got to be out of that egg and we got to love her for a little while. Now we're going to need a few female, most likely, Pekin chicks sometime in the next two months. I don't think we'll be doing egg hatching again anytime too soon. So, if anyone knows where we might get a couple of chicks from a small breeder we'd love to know.

I wonder if Lucy got an infection? She was having difficulties shrinking up her belly button.

NO wait she was shrinking up pretty good because we had to cut that cord early. GRR, LET ME THINK. she's the one with the blood clot RIGHT???

She was insistent on hiding her face from the light. She didn't like to open her eyes much and she had to be covered by your hand. She also ha a hard time keeping her head up (she would nod constantly) and didn't really seem to want to walk (unlike the other two)
