My condolences on her passing,always heartbreaking when we lose a beloved pet.

What i want you to do is become knowledgeable regarding issues that can affect our birds,start with egg binding and crop issues. This will help you in the future when these types of issue happen b/c most are life threatening and the sooner treatment can be applied,the better the outcome.

I totally agree with 10Chicks! I have become a chicken 'dr/nurse' out of necessity. This site has been so helpful as well. Again, I'm so sorry. I just buried 2 of my girls yesterday who were killed by a neighbor dog who got into my chicken yard. I'm currently nursing the 5 who survived the attack. Very hard I know. My heart is hurting for you and I send light and love your way...

It can be so overwhelming when we know something is wrong but we don't know how to help them. Hopefully this experience has helped prepare you in case it ever happens again. You'll have a much better idea of how to help next time.
