Emergency -- sick cat please help

A stray cat I've been feeding hasn't shown up in a few weeks, and he just did and looks sick. He looks and acts very out of it and is drooling and dirty. I dont know what it can be.

I don't have much experience with cats and I'd love some help! He isnt interested in the food or water we put out.

have you checked in his mouth might have something stuck wrap him up first so you don't get scratched ,if nothing there then he might have eaten something poisonous get him to a vet if you can

The problem is is that hes feral and still won't let me get close. I need to check he hasn't run off--figurs it's the one day we have workers over working on our air conditioning

We have kept our distance although we did put out a little food and water. He walked over to the food but didnt eat.

I'm thinking I might be able to convince him to walk into a bigger animal carrier we have, but I dont know if I should try to catch him or not. I may also not be able to convince him...

Definitely don't approach the animal! It is mentioned that the cat acts sick and dazed. In the photos, the cat's jaw is dropped and he is drooling uncontrollably. He isnt drooling that bad as in the picture but it does look suspiciously like rabies. I am keeping my distance and hes scared of us anyways.

My mom is calling animal control, an animal coalition place she was gonna call didnt answer..
