So about an hour ago a snake came into my house and tried to eat one of my ducklings. We were able to kill the snake and pry the duckling out of its mouth. The duckling was still breathing and not moving, but after a while it is picking its head up and peeping.

the problem is, it’s head is covered in the snake’s blood and mucus. We currently have it separated with its own heat lamp and water, and I have wiped off some of the blood but its not really coming off.

Any suggestions on how to handle this?We have thought about trying to wash it off in a bowl of warm water and drying it with a hair dryer on a very low setting, but I haven’t been able to find anything with a google search to know if this is a good option.

yes you can give her a warm bath and blow dry her, she might just be in a little bit of shock at the moment, from the experience, hopefully the snake didn’t crush anything inside.
