Do you guys have a suggestion for what kind of soap she can use to clean her up real good?

Dawn.
Any kind of soap will work. You just need a few drops.Well, duh! Of course!
This sounds highly possible to me too.I could be way wrong here, and I speak as a detective, and not from a medical perspective. But the only thing that makes sense from putting the clues together is that there were, or are, maggots just inside her vent or on prolapsed tissue as @Eggcessive suggested may be going on. Then at some point the hen ejected the maggots in one big lump and (is it possible?), whatever was prolapsed returned into her body. My concern is that she may still have maggots inside, which is why I suggested veterinary care. If I am barking crazy, please y'all tell me so.
We haven't heard from OP in a bit, have we..? I hope the hen is doing better...![]()
