EMERGENCY, The outlook is not looking good

my favorite silkie hen has had leg mites, the mites are clearing up be she got a cut on her toe one morning, I came home from work and she has lost her toenail to the first knuckle of her toe. I treated it. It did swell and get hot but I finally got the swelling and heat down. She was acting like she was in a lot of pain and not wanting to put pressure on her foot. I read a forum about using aspirin for chickens. I used the dosage that they gave last night. This morning she has very labored breathing and will not walk at all. I isolated her in a kennel and put a towl over one side to try and give her some peace. Please, any help will be appreciated!

How much aspirin did you give her?

After looking at her more, it is an issue swallowing. I don't know if I irritated her craw putting the watery aspirin down her throat last night or what. When she drinks she cocks her head back in forth, opens her mouth and stretches her neck out. It sounds like she is swallowing little bubbles. Do you have any ideas about this? I gave her olive oil to help listen anything stuck

Dolly passed away last night. She had a "husband" named Elvis and they were inseparable. He always had to know where she was. I got a funny feeling last night and went to the coop and decided to let her out of the crate. She went right over to him and curled up like she always does. This morning I found her and Elvis standing over her in their little nest crowing like mad, she had passed away and he must have realized it when he woke up. I like to think it was a good death. He will be getting plenty of treats!
