The crop is located directly above the keel or breast bone. ALL BIRDS HAVE THIS. It is usuallly soft and plyable to the touch. This is where a bird accumulates large amounts of food before passing it to the gizzard. If this area is hard, then you need to keep the chicken isolated with NO FOOD. Water is O.K. . In the morning check the crop once again. It should have gone down considerably.
Some chickens get what is called an impacted crop. There are many threads on this within the forum. You can do a search. I know it may be difficult to search if you do not know what to search for.
The passing of an egg, without a shell is not as uncommon as one would think. It is not a great thing to happen, but it is treatable.
Some birds actaully BREAK the egg inside themselve from a fall or a muscle contraction. This is fairly serious, but usually not fatal.
Please do edit your post and complete the question asked. This will help.
Above all, keep calm and read, read, read.
