Tomorrow, from 8 to 12AM (for 4 hours), it is announced that we won’t have any electricity in our village.

I have an incubator with 3 Egyptian geese eggs, which will hatch in like 2-3 days! So I’ll have to go tomorrow to our office, which will have electricity there to make my incubator work.

But the problem is that it will take 30 minutes to get there! What can I do to keep the eggs alive?

Honestly for only 4 hours I would just keep them home. Your going to put them more at risk trying to transport them back and forth with them being under heat then off then on heat then off then on again. 4 hours won’t kill them and I have hatched perfectly fine hatches dealing with 8 hr+ power outages. All it will do is delay the hatch a little.

Okay. I hope you are right, I trust you on this! Tyy

It should be ok if it’s only a few hours. My very first hatch, some idiot unplugged the incubator to vacuum the carpet, and just left it like that! Twelve hours later I was panicking, but I plugged it in again and a week later, right on schedule, I still got 7 chickens from the dozen eggs I set.

Alright! I’m feeling reassured. Thank you
