[Poultry Kitten]

My chicken is extremely sick. She has frostbite on her comb and she can’t breathe. Is there anything I can do to help her breathe better?

She is wheezing and her wings are out. She can’t stand up. I don’t know what’s wrong. Is there anything I can do to help her breathe or what do you think is wrong?

How cold is it, and was she in the coop or outside? How long ago did you discover her like this? Are her feet frozen?

I am not sure, but she is barely breathing and her wings are out. She is not standing up and when I her mouth is slightly open and she is salivating a lot.

Her feet do seem decently cold, it is below freezing about 30°F

yes, this is the same chicken. I should’ve led with that. Also, she is wheezing and breathing very softly.

Do you have her inside where it is warm now? Will she take some water with a little sugar in it, or some electrolytes? I think she has something more going on besides frostbite, possibly a reproductive disorder.

I do have her inside. I will see if she drinks and I agree. There’s definitely something more going on then frostbite
