My chicken is chewed up by a dog trying to keep her from going into shock she is bleeding rapidly please help me send any info you think will help (besides killing her)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about chickens, but for people keep them warm, calm, and apply pressure to the sites of the bleeding.

I agree with jersey hen. If you have any cautery sticks you might be able to cauterize the bleeding ( used to stop razor cuts) Pressure to wounds with clean dressing, quiet, dark, confined so she can't move to much to let the blood stop. good luck.

Thankyou I think she has stopped bleeding and the wound is from right behind her right leg almost up to her tail. The skin is tore open and I cant take any pictures because she will freak.

hang in there with her. I've seen a few of my chickens heal from bad injuries. I usually put them in a cardboard box in my bathroom where it's warm, quiet and dark. I bet she'll be ok. Try to examine her all over really well in case there are other injured areas.
