came home tonight and found my coop and run covered in blood on further inspection found my pied Sussex laying in nesting box with all her internal organs hanging out I think she has had a prolapse but as I wasn't at home I think my other girl's have attacked her and seem to have split her intestines in 2 or they are just about together I have separated her from others but really dont think she will make it:-( I am devasated has anyone had this happen?

It does indeed sound like a prolapse. It's normal for the others to attack/eat at the area. You shuld really put her down if she is still alive. I'm sorry.

Thank you for your reply, I kept her on her own last night wrapped up warm with some water but unfortunately she didn't make it through the night :-( I'm devastated as I've only had them a few mths and she was only 6 and a half mths old but I guess thats how it goes sometimes.Thank you once again.
