Empty egg... Is my Hen ok?

My hen just started laying last week. Today we went out an noticed that her egg was just a shell couldnt find any "raw egg" remnants. We heard her making a bunch of noise so when we went to the coop she was coming out and that is what we found... Any ideas?

Was the egg broken open? Or was it just hollow? Some chickens do eat their own eggs, but usually there would be some sign of the whites and yolk..
