That would be a rare breed, though Meyer’s OE is darker color. I posted a pic of it and I was wrong when I said EE is not on their list of Rare breeds. I still lean towards White Marans.

Do the white Marans have green legs? I hope it’s a white Marans. I would love dark brown eggs!

I think you’re referring to Silver Laced Wyandotte and yes that’s what they look like.

You’re going to have dark brown eggs from the Cuckoo Marans but not that deep brown from the Black Cooper Marans.

I would contact Meyer Hatchery via chat and ask them to help you figure out what breeds you have. Send them the pics and they will help you. They are very helpful. The chicks are super cute. Good luck with them.

Your barred bird is not a cuckoo Maran (wrong comb type), it looks to be a dominique.

You’re going to have dark brown eggs from the Cuckoo Marans but not that deep brown from the Black Cooper Marans.

About that.... I looked at my day old chicks photo of it and it has the light spot on its head and the coloring of a Dominique chick. I don’t think it’s a Cuckoo Marans. I think she’s s Dominique. I don't think Meyers will send Marans in an assorted rare breed group.
