Yes, I use the colored velcro bands sold for arranging computer wires together... hehe. I wrap them tight enough they cant slip over their head, but loose enough that foot passes w/ o problems. As they get olderI move it to their leg. that way they can keep the same band as adults too.

where are you located?... there are several places that sell emu chicks.. however if you can find someone closer to you you can (hopefully) avoid shipping charges
