I actually remembered to weigh my eggs today. Three of the five seem to be on track and two are way more than they should. Three are on day 27 and two are on day 22. Two of the ones on the 27th felt warmer on one end. They are from a local breeder so no shipping involved. Fingers crossed for some babies around the 13th of next month!

The two that aren’t right on track - have they lost more than they should or not enough?

I weighted mine yesterday and they are all still losing more than the 15%! Four of the eggs are at 3 weeks and 2 of the eggs are at 2 weeks. I did tape up one egg using skin tape which is semi breathable. The two eggs from @FNF are the closest to losing 15%! But I don’t know if them all losing a lot of weight is a sign that they arent developing or what. All eggs are leaning, especially the four that have been in for 3 weeks. Some of the eggs felt warmer on the non air cell side, but that doesn’t seem like a great indicator to me.

The warm end of the egg does work in my experience. I just don't recall when it becomes accurate. I know it's really evident towards the end, but then you are also seeing wiggles too. We'll use this as our test since today at 27 days, out of the incubator for 5 minutes, the non air cell end felt warmer.

That is a great test to see if the results of how warm the egg is works this early. When I felt mine yesterday, I thought the two @FNF eggs were the biggest temp difference, with a couple of the others having a nominal difference. Mine are about a week behind yours though!

Sorry everyone, I keep forgetting to update

I cracked my egg when we got home and saw no development sadly.

It was a fun adventure anyway, and I learned so much from it! I hope I get to try hatching some again soon.

How are everyone's eggs/chicks doing?

My first 4 eggs are around day 25 and the other two around day 18. Unfortunately they are STILL all losing too much weight. I have no idea how it’s possible. The incubator has been running mostly around 45% for the past week. But all the eggs are still losing at the 20% rate. It’s boggling my mind! So I am not hopeful at all I am guessing the reason they are losing so much is because they aren’t developing.

But I am still turning them every day. Starting in a few days I will be watching them for wiggles. Not expecting anything but it will still be fun to try
