Ok, I raise all kinds of birds. Chickens in many shapes and sizes, three kinds of duck, Guineas and Peafowl. We have been fencing and cross fencing for goats and I got the chance to hatch an Emu. I researched thoroughly before accepting the egg and bought three more to hatch within days of the first one.
I know they are supposed to lose about 15% of their weight on hatch and so far they’re on target. The incubators are set to 97.5 and I use glass thermometers tested for accuracy. But when I use our household temperature scanner, the fever scanner, my little dragon eggs read 99.1 on their surface. Give or take .1 degree.
Should I be concerned?
