I am about to hatch a couple of Emu eggs in a Hovabator Genesis, and I am considering building my own automatic low-profile turner. I notice some types use 1/240 rpm ac motors that take 4 hours to rotate fully at an imperceptibly slow speed. Seems that Papa Emu rolls them around pretty briskly, though. I'll make a simple wooden turner that's really low to the floor. Ideas or thoughts on how to control the motor?
