My husband has been trying to convince me to get a pair of emus for over a year. If we do get them, I want to ensure they have enough area to thrive and be happy.
Their enclosed area would be just over 1/4 acre shared with chickens and ducks. There is a chicken/duck coop and run within that enclosed area. Roughly half of the area is wooded. I have seen that a minimum of 1/8-1/4 of an acre is needed but I don’t know if that is too small. So the question is, is that enough space for a pair of emus?
Thank you!
