Emu eye

I have a 3 month old emu. Something spooked him and he injured his eye. It’s very swollen and the eye ball is t protruding but the mucus membranes are. It’s bloody but not leaking plus. How can I help him

My first suggestion is going to be to take him to the vet.

If you absolutely can't do that, I would go to TSC or any feed store that might carry it and pick up some Terramycin ointment to use on his eye.

Don’t know if it’ll help your emu, but terramycin (the ointment kind that looks like neosporin) always worked wonders on stray kittens with funky eyes. It also worked well on my dove when he had something wrong with his eye.
