I have 2 Adults, The feed I have right now is cheep, Under 8.00 for a 50 lb bag. But it's sheep and cattle creep? 14 % protein. I am thinking the protein should be higher right now but am just not sure of what to get and where. I can't seem to find anyplace closer than 300 miles except Tractor Supply, they only have the stuff that costs 40.00 for a 50 lb bag. Can anyone give me the name of something 10.00-15.00 a bag, that is withing 25 miles of Ft Hood?
Thanks

Hi, welcome to BYC! :frow

Have you asked you local feed store owner if they could order a ratite feed for you? My LFS owners are always willing to work with me to the best of their ability.

I worry about the vitamin and mineral balance being off more than protein since they are targeted at a certain species. Even if one feed is cheaper if cost the health of your animal... it really isn't.

This is good explanation of what they need..

Hope it helps. :)

thank you, And yes he says he has one that a little more, but all the Emu farmers around him use the cheaper stuff. And every time I ask for it he is out. thanks for the help.
