Hi! I have an emu who is about 3 months old. Today I came home and he was out in the rain with our chickens(he lives with our chickens and refuses to live anywhere else|). Is this ok for him/her...?
Are you asking if it's ok for him to live with the chickens? or stand out in the rain? First off, I would say living with chickens is fine as long as they don't get nervous or aggitated around him. Second, I don't think he would stand out in the rain if it bothered him, although I can't imagine why he would want to... I would say your Emu is perfectly fine!!!
The chickens aren't botheresd at all!! They are all so funny together...Glad to know Emus love the water! Guess I was just concerned that they are over-sensitive to getting wet like Ostrich when they are younger..shes about 3 months old!
