I am currently living in Wichita ks and was wondering if anyone near here had any emus or know of anyone who has them

I lived in eastern KS many years (now in FL) but reading your question reminded me of a place not far from where I lived that raised emus. Here is their website, they may be the sort of source that can help you out:
