Granny's gone and done it again

@microchick: I remember when I could get up, feed the dogs, make myself a sandwich, and not need a 3-hour nap! It's not just age, it's trying to heal from a broken body, that takes a lot of your body's resources. But now I need to go clean the hen house so that nap will just have to wait!

I think I remember this. Sydney was a dog? So sad and unexpected. Thankfully we don't have any ponds nearby and the dogs stay on the property.
Yes, she was 1 of 5 of the cattle dog pups we rescued. Super sweet dog, she was the alpha female and kept the others in line. She was only 17 months old when she died and I still miss her.

The weird thing about Pythiosis is that it can be found in mud puddles, run off, streams, you name it. The vets at MIZZOU told us that the parasite can be found anywhere there is water. They used to call it swamp cancer as the parasite causes cancer like tumors in the animal's internal organs. Cattle and horses can get it from standing in contaminated water. They develop these huge lesions on their legs.

My problem seems to be my body makes all the estrogen but not much progesterone. Weird. Hopefully by next month with all the supplements and hormones and everything the NP has me on things will get better.

50+ emails in my inbox, 238+ in the invoices, things that were missed and a huge stack of mail to process. God help me.
Ahhhh, THAT kind of stomach trouble. I was the opposite. My body was estrogen sensitive. Made it impossible to supplement me during menopause. I just got sicker and sicker until a gyny they sent me to figured it out. Took all of my supplements away. No more hormones, no black cohosh, no herbal estrogen supplements, no sweet potatoes, nothing. Doctor said he hated to do it to me and when I asked why he just said I was in for a really rough 8 weeks while my body detoxed.

Man was he right.:th

One week from today. my appt is the 22nd with this surgeons all the way into KY.
I'm glad you got the appointment and can get something done. I know it's a long trip but worth it. I've had a pretty good day. Youngest daughter is visiting so we canned tomatoes, she made meatloaf and zucchini stir-fry for lunch and has been helping me clean house. One of the shelves in my pantry fell this morning. Thankfully there was nothin glass on it, so it was just a matter of picking up cans. One of the pins holding the shelf broke so we replaced it and removed some of the weight from the shelf. Rufus, the pet rooster, is taking a nap on top of my foot. He is growing a lot and will need a coop and some hens before very long.

Oh, Iris you are so blessed and lucky to have a daughter who will come and help you with projects. Give her a hug for me and cherish every moment with her.

Granny, I'm so glad and I agree, it'll be worth the trip. Make sure you have a list of questions for them. Trust me, they will be overwhelming you with data and results. I did it with my orthopedic surgeon to fall back on in case I forgot something I wanted to ask him. I'm praying that they are able to do something to give you some pain relief.
