emus -- brooder size?

My kids are getting a pair of emus for 4-H. They'll be 3 days old.

What size brooder will we need, and how long will it take for them to grow big enough to go outside?

I always used a big Rubbermaid tote. Then as they got older I moved them to a dog kennel. I forget at what age they are ok to go outside, it depends on your weather.
