Enablers.....I'll get you my pretties!

It might well be frozen. I'm getting tired of feeding cows in 2 feet of blowing and drifting snow.

If I got BO chickens, would they mix well w/ my existing flock? I'm ordering a whole list of chicks in the spring to see which I like best (just one each- don't want to overdo it). Are you ready for it? Here goes:
Barnevelder, Maran, Welsummer, Australorp, Barred Rock, Leghorn, Partridge Wyandotte, and Ameraucana (3 of those- my son LOVES the green eggs!).
How would a BO fare mixed in w/ these plus my existing birds?

I have Austrolorp, Wyandotte and Barred Rock. The Wyandotte are some of my favs, a little aloof but nice. I think you'll be fine with most of those breeds you've chosen. Have you gone to http://www.ithaca.edu/staff/jhenderson/chooks/chooks.html to check out the breeds? I refer to it all the time

Hawaii, here I come! Wait a minute- the house payment is due. Oh! and the cell phone bill too, and the truck and the cable, and insurance and.... Dang, I'll have to wait for another year!

I got that link off BYC the other day and now it's on my bookmarks along with the Feather Site and MPC chicken breeds! Thanks for the info, by the way. I am going to be ordering Partridge Wyandottes (roo and hen chicks) from Ideal in a month or two. The Wyandotte roo caught my attention because of the colors and the rose comb. It's very cold here and my SF roo has troubles with frostbite.
