End of day 22...Nothing!!! :(

I know im not supposed to but I just candeled all of them. Some had very small chicks in them. Only four were completely dark. I put those four back..i havent had very good luck since I started using my automatic egg turner, so I think im gonna rotate them by hand from now on.

There's really no way to force it... they'll either hatch when they're ready, or not... Once you hear them chirping, you can talk to them, like a mother hen does, to encourage them. But you don't really want to handle them or try to help them out of the shell in any way...

Hang in there! I have had some hatch day 25 & 26 so don't give up just yet!!! I always had waited a week after day 21 as a just in case and that time it was worth the wait!!!

I don't know if these were eggs that came through the mail... when hatching shipped eggs, it is interesting to include a few fresh, fertile eggs laid by your own hens. That can give you an idea if there is a problem with the incubator, or with your batch of eggs. In 2009 I set 2 dozen eggs that came though the mail, plus 4 of my own... I got 5 out of 24 (!) from the shipped group, and 3 out of 4 from my own eggs. Conclusion: the problem was with the batch of eggs, not me or my stupid incubator. This sort of thing can make you feel a little better.

If the U.S. Postal Service has beaten your package of eggs with a baseball bat, there's not a lot you can do.

Sorry to hear that!!! I had read on here before tossing...give a little shake and listen for a peep! I didn't see that when I was hatching but also a very good idea!!
