The tenperature was 99.5 and the humidity was around 70%. I gave up on them and opened them up. 3 of the 4 werent very developed and one had a chick but it was very small and not completely developed.

Sorry for your loss.. Mine didnt hatch either I kept having temp spikes. Hatch day was yesterday but no movement at all. i candled & still no movement. i have some that are at different developing stages so I'll just focus on them & i have 20+ duck eggs that need to go in incubator. Good luck on your next hatch/keep trying.

To cheer me up I think i've talked my parents into letting me order ten ducklings from Metzer's. They should be here next Wednesday.

You ordered ducklings or eggs? If you lived by me or close i would give you eggs to hatch or ducklings i take my ducklings to a local pet store for them to have & i have given them some eggs too. i just cant be sure they would be fertile or not. they have been though my Golden Cascade last month hatched 7 & i finished hatching 3 more for her. My Rouen hatched 12 babies i gave 6 away and need to catch 6 more to take to pet store. hard to catch, the mom is very protective of her brats i mean babies. lol ~Julie~

I think once upon a time they might have made a decent bator, but if it's a newer one, the temp isn't uniform throughout, meaning the top of your egg will vary greatly from what the middle and bottom of the egg temps are. At one point I had 6 different therm's in mine and got 6 different readings and I had a fan in mine.

Im using my little giant that I got like seven years, and the first time I used it I hatched 8 out of 12 of ny shipped silkie eggs. I dont know what happened.
