Ok, we are about finished so here is our entry for this contest.

The floor area is 16 sq ft (4'x4'), though the nesting boxes will cover 2 sq ft, so the effective coop area is 14 sq ft. I do plan on adding a 'loft' in teh coop to add some floor space. The run is 4'x11' and they will range in a 20'x20' area when we're home and vigilant.

We have 5 chickens, and I think they are all hens (I had banked on at least one rooster, hence the slightly cramped quarters...)

We have a mix of chickens, one each of: California White, Barred Rock (I'm pretty sure), Red Sex Link, Auracauna (sp?), and ???. Not sure what the fifth is, though it may be a wyandote?? I'll post up some pics for identification when I get to it. We picked them out so quickly that we didn't really remember what the darker two chicks were...

At any rate, I guess I need to put more info into my coop page, regarding size, etc. I think I still have a sketch too, but it's rough!

Can I enter my tractor? I built it just before I built my coop, but recently made some changes to it to make it more multifunctional.
