The op said her family couldn't afford to have them done professionally. So regardless of the sentiment (while I will agree her heart was in the right place), it would still be embarrassing since she posted her first and last name and said they couldn't afford it. BTW I think alot of it is a racket. We took my daughters picture in her prom dress (which was just 3 weeks before graduation) in front of the fireplace. I took several shots and picked the best one and that was what went with her announcements. Had someone thought my daughter was the poor girl (whether financially poor or like aw that poor thing) and posted it on the internet I'd be ticked.

I talked to her about it, especially the way I posted it and she LOVED it. She was just thankfull for all the support here on BYC..
