You are lucky!! We have had so much rain my horse has been living in her turnout like she has to do in the winter - the ground is too soft on the field to take her. It is so unfair and makes the winter very long for her and me!!!

Good pictures. It is brave of you to give them names - we stopped doing that after the fox got our first birds 10 or so years ago!! Too heartbreaking. Not to say I don't get as upset at the losses but they are not quite so personal. I only have 6 chickens and 1 duck so know them all separately but no names.
hi everyone! i thought i was the only english chick in here! nice to know theres a good crowd out there! i live in wiltshire, england and am crazy about my girls!
Hello, I am from Northern Ireland but I now live in Nova Scotia, Canada. The weather is a bit better here.
I got the chicken keeping bug from my mum who is still in Ireland but not on BYC as she still finds computers a pain in the hiney. Much prefers the company of her chickens LOL
We have just put a layer of sand in the run - after reading about it on here - and so far so good. Mind you - it has been fine this week so has not yet had a real test. I will let you know!!
