Silver Laced Orpingtons are a new color in the US. The striking black lacing on the silver base is sure to grab anyone's attention. These birds are 100% English and have the round English body type. They are large birds with roosters reaching over 13 pounds.
I have pictures of my birds at 9 weeks old and pictures of what they would be projected to look similar to at full grown. Mostly because I absolutely love how beautiful they are, and really want you to be able to see how full and fluffy they are as adults.
These birds are handled everyday. This has helped grow them into cuddlers, and great garden company, they even let my toddler hold them!. We raise all our birds on high quality feed, they are also free range so they I understand and love looking for tasty grub. Also important for this specific breed. (They can become obese quite easy due to their chill nature and free food service)Hens will lay 190 eggs annuall. They make excellent mothers. Are great for cold regions, very cold hardy but can also tolerate heat well.
