I am so sorry to hear she was hit, and can only imagine the frustration about the ongoing speeding being the cause.

Sounds like time for a good broth diet for a couple of days followed by soft food. Just sucks for her to be going through this.

She is walking about, but not patrolling. I let her in the house to rest.

Snowing heavily hear. Only that sticking to trees not melting. Huge clumps pushing 1" diameter falling.

Confined for rest is a good idea.

I will keep her in water for sure but will not push food intake for a couple days. I am well versed in working with hurt dogs. She needs rest with access to water,

So she can drink OK with the jaw problem?

Yes. The other mandible and attachments holding everything in place. She can even bark although it appears to smart. She shakes her head a lot still as I thing she has inner or middle ear issues still. She walks about holding her head tilted to right. There is some swelling where left mandible articulates with skull which is very close to plumbing of ear.

Her jaw...and head.... are no doubt sore as hell.
