Enough is enough (Pictures Added)

Alright! Got everyone settled in. The little dummies dont' know to go in the coop when it get's dark (I knew that, honestly I did, it's just been a while since I've had little ones), so I was out with a flashlight scooping everyone up. Fortunately they let me. I now have electric wire every 8 inches from the ground to the top of the run, and have monofiliment strung over half the run (I'll finish tomorrow afternoon). The new coop is only half done, but at least I'll be able get rid of all this dust finally. I'm still coughing up a lung, but there's light at the end of the tunnel.

We have now learned that if we go into the coop by ourselves, the water that's falling from the sky won't get us wet.

It was fun letting them out this morning. They all stampeded me, jumped out, looked up at the sky, and ran back inside screaming, "THE SKY IS FALLING!"

It is cooler today, but they are all still healthy and seemingly happy.

Sunny day today! The little BR in front is Hawkeye's daughter. She's definitely the most personable of the bunch (29) but I can't think of a name for her. Any ideas?

You could always name Hawkeye's daughter Hotlips. Seems appropriate.

Actually, Hotlips is a good one. She's a little feisty like that. Hmmm.

She looks a bit like a Zoe to me. I forgot you had one of the BRs hatch! So glad. If she lays like her mother, she'll be an excellent egg provider for you.

Hmmm, I like Zoe, too. Plus it's also my eight year old nieces name. I think she would appreciate that.

Well, sure she would! I named one of the Poufy Head Sisters Kate after my friend Kate (helmstead) who gave me the hatching eggs that Miss Kate popped out of. I think she liked it pretty well, didn't ya, Katie?
