Hi, I know that on here the standard is 4 sq ft in the coop, and 10 in the run, Well, this isn't possible for me. I have three coops, and a ton of birds. And to fit all the birds in, the birds would have around 2-2.5 square feet per bird, the best I could do is 2.5 per bird for every one, the runs would be any where from 14-8 square feet per bird, they free range for at least 4-10 hours a day, are fed FF, and are all friendly, will this set up work? The breeds vary from size of 12-3 lbs Thanks for the help!!!

I would say this greatly depends on how big each bird is and how active each one is. Four sq. ft. works for my LF brahmas just fine. Birds that don't do well in confinement may not handle that close of quarters. Just keep an eye on everyone and make sure no one is picked.

Thank you, I guess I'll try it and see how it works!

Probably not. Just make sure when it gets hot out that you have plenty of ventilation. My coop I got from my neighbor has no windows and barely has any ventilation. Well one day I forgot to open the door and three of them got baked and I managed to revive the other. The coop is basically a greenhouse. The top is clear and the thought was it will keep it warm in winter well it kept them nice and warm during summer too.

I Got it so that they'll have a bit more room, one group will have 2.56 square feet in the coop, and 8 sq ft in the run. The other group will have an average of 2.75 in the coops, and 16.67 in the run. They also free range at least four hours a day, usually more. I hope this works! Do you think it will? The size of the birds vary from BOs, to ameraucanas.
Oh, and I'll be adding more ventilation to the coops as well.

Should work fine. Like I said earlier just make sure everyone gets along and no one is picked on too bad. Hope this works out well for you.
