Hi there,

Beside a mirror (which I already have) what are some of the things you use to keep your ducks entertained during the winter? Especially when locked up?

Mine are currently locked up due to the cold and separated within the same pen, because of over mating. I only have 2 Pekin ducks. They have to be getting bored....

My friend hangs bells for goats on a twine and they ring it. Lol..Water to play in..The radio. A head of Purple Cabbage..
Let them out on nice days for an hour or so..
Great ideas!!! I just happen to have bells and twine from straw bales. And when I go to the store I will get some purple cabbage!!

Just make sure to hang the bells high enough so the twine won't rap around their neck or attach to a fence.

They are hung just high enough to where they have to extend their necks to get to them. However they didn't seem to impressed by them....lol

Yesterday I cooked a whole spaghetti squash and gave half to the Chickens..I give the Ducks each a half of a half..They love it. 12 minutes in the microwave..Make sure to puncture holes in it to before cooking. Cool and serve.

Mine play soccer with Brussels sprouts. We will buy minnows and put it in their pool or when they are inside do to weather in the bathtub. Much like little kids mine love bubbles. They love bubbles. They go nuts when they see the bubble bottle. We discovered it at my son's birthday party. We have a couple bubble machines and they went nuts chasing them all over the place.
