What sorts of toys or games or tasks can be practiced with peacocks? I've heard some are entertained by a mirror. But can they learn tricks? Or is there anything we can do to entertain them, or help them be keep an active mind? Or do they just not get bored, like fish?

We have two, a male and female, both hatched and always been in captivity. Our pen is about 160 sq ft 12' tall and open but covered in netting, and about 60 sq ft 6' tall covered and protected from wind, this smaller area is where we feed them from a hanging feeder.

160 sq ft is about right for one mature bird, height is not a factor unless they don't have enough glide space for them to cushion their landing from high up. You can hang cabbage or other vegetables on a wire for entertainment. You can go sit with them and hand feed treats but be careful with hanging feeders that the birds can fly into and hurt themselves. Some birds like to interact and others will not.

Wow thanks! We do hang out with them and hand feed them nearly every day. They don't seem to be as versatile eaters as our chickens. Love your pics! These are amazing creatures.
