my chickens ,are the spice girls and one uptight rooster,,pumpkin,cinnamon and ginger,,my rooster is mr bob and we have a black and white hen that is younger we named runt bob ,,they are so cut and the antics they show is hilarious,,we sit out in the back yard in the evening and let them free range,,and they want to get in our laps,,they just love us,,we have been chicken folk for about 3 months now and we know absolutely nothing ,,except we like them,,also I am new to this site and don't understand where I am suppose to write my stories,,please adv,,also my 3 hens do not lay every day,,i get one egg a day and sometimes no egg,,what am I doing wrong?

How long have your hens been laying? If they just started it is normal for the first week-month to have uneven laying because her reproductive system is figuring things out.

they are 24 months old , and at this writing they only give 1 egg a day

dont expect more than one egg a day per chicken usually 5 a week aveage///
